A Fluor business has secured a contract extension from the U.S. Navy to continue supporting the Nuclear Propulsion Program of the Naval Nuclear Laboratory for an additional five years to 2028. The contract extension allows Fluor Marine Propulsion to manage and operate the primary facilities of NNL in New York, Pennsylvania and Idaho, Fluor said Monday.

Comtech has secured a potential $544 million contract to provide professional engineering services and assistance with the company’s satellite and terrestrial networking communications technologies for the U.S. Army. Awarded under the $5.1 billion Global Tactical Communications Systems II indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity vehicle, the contract will support the Project Manager Tactical Network for the Global Field Service Representative initiative, Comtech announced from Melville, New York, on Monday.

Riverside Research landed a prime contract to build the prototype for the Space System Command's Data Exploitation and Enhanced Processing for Space Domain Awareness program. The nonprofit organization will be supported by CMSOC Corp., space-to-cloud data analytics firm Spire Global and system developer SciTec, according to DEEP-SDA's managing entity, the National Technology Security Accelerator.

The Defense Logistics Agency's energy division plans to award a task order under the Department of Energy's fourth-generation Energy Savings Performance Contract to develop and operate a project at Maxwell Air Force Base and Gunter Annex in Alabama to help the installation achieve net-zero emissions and reduce greenhouse gases through the implementation of energy conservation measures. Responses to the NOO are due no later than Nov. 7.

A General Dynamics subsidiary has received a $218 million initial task order from the U.S. Army for expanded production of 155mm M1128 load, assemble and pack requirements. The initial task order was awarded to General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems under a $974.4 million multi-award contract for the M1128 artillery.
