Army Issues RFI for Fire Support C2 Tech Modernization Requirement

The U.S. Army is soliciting feedback on its plan to establish a consortium-like organization and a contract vehicle to support the development of fire support command and control systems and other digital fires products designed to improve the decision-making process and accelerate kill chains against near-peer threats. White papers in response to the request for information are due Nov. 22.

Planet Labs Validates Satellite-to-Satellite Communication Technologies in Recent Test for NASA Program

Planet Labs has conducted a ground demonstration that validated technologies enabling connectivity between low Earth orbit satellites and in-space communication satellites operated by the government solutions business of Telesat and the space and defense business of SES. Planet said Friday the demonstration was part of a subcontract it had received in 2022 from Telesat Government Solutions and SES Space & Defense for NASA's Communications Services Project, which seeks to evaluate the feasibility of using commercial satellite communications to support future NASA missions.

DHS to Recompete SEVIS Operations and Maintenance Support Services Contract

The Department of Homeland Security is planning to award a contract worth up to $100 million to procure operations and maintenance services in support of its Student and Exchange Visitor Information System. According to an Acquisition Planning Forecast System notice, DHS requires design, development, test, deployment, O&M, engineering and security support for the web-based system that manages data on international students and exchange visitors.

Small Business Firm PAI Wins $74M Navy Contract for Worldwide Logistics Services

Professional Analysis Inc., an Alexandria, Virginia-based federal services contractor, has won a $74.4 million contract from the U.S. Navy to deliver worldwide logistics services covering eight functional areas. The Military Sealift Command conducted an online procurement process for the award and received two bids, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Boeing Completes Shipment of 100th Weapon Diagnostic System to Army

Boeing has delivered to the U.S. Army the 100th unit of the Next Generation Automatic Test System, a mobile platform designed to quickly detect and isolate defects in electronic line replaceable units on M1 Abrams and M2 Bradley combat vehicles.
