iDirect Government Launches New Engineering Center

Satellite communications provider iDirect Government has opened a new facility that will serve as an engineering hub for advanced electronic warfare and other transmission security services at its headquarters in Herndon, Virginia. The iDirectGov Engineering Center of Excellence will provide an additional platform for current engineers to develop the company’s security services and formulate strategies for EW, cyber risk, TRANSEC and countermeasures, the company said Tuesday.

Massachusetts-based Devo Technology has received the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program’s Moderate Authority to Operate designation for its data logging technology offering. The cloud-native logging and security analytics services provider said Tuesday the Small Business Administration acted as sponsor for the FedRAMP accreditation of the Devo Security Data Platform.

VivSoft to Enhance DOD Shared Military Cyber Operations Platform via STRATFI Award; Navin Gunalan Quoted

VivSoft Technologies has received a Strategic Fund Increase award to modernize the U.S. Air Force Unified Platform, which serves as a shared system for military cyber operations. NCCoE Names Tech Collaborators for Manufacturing Sector Cybersecurity Project

The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence within the National Institute of Standards and Technology has announced its technology collaborators for a project that seeks to demonstrate an approach meant to help organizations detect, respond and recover from a cyberattack within an operational technology environment. NCCoE said Tuesday it expects the Responding to and Recovering from a Cyber Attack: Cybersecurity for the Manufacturing Sector project to result in a free NIST Cybersecurity Practice Guide, which features a reference design and a description of the practical measures to implement the approach based on NIST’s Cybersecurity Framework and industry best practices and standards.
