Astroscale's U.S. business has secured a $25.5 million contract from the U.S. Space Force to build a small satellite capable of conducting uninterrupted refueling missions in geostationary orbit. The Astroscale Prototype Servicer for Refueling will be designed to carry and transfer hydrazine directly to client spacecraft, Astroscale U.S. said Wednesday.

Laser communications technology developer Mynaric has secured a contract to develop an intersatellite optical communications terminal for enabling satellite constellations to communicate in space. The company said Tuesday it will serve as a development partner for the second phase of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's Space-Based Adaptive Communications Node program.

Charles Stark Draper Laboratory has secured a potential five-year, $23.7 million contract to develop and demonstrate specialized unmanned underwater vehicle autonomy and simulation capabilities for the U.S. Navy. The company will use a model-based systems engineering approach to build a full-spectrum UUV autonomy prototype, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Booz Allen Hamilton will design, implement, operate and test a 5G cellular network and asset network platform in Guam under a two-year contract with the U.S. Navy. The private 5G network will support the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility Detachment Naval Base Guam by delivering mobile and fixed wireless access, marking the company's full-scale implementation of 5G technology in the Indo-Pacific region, Booz Allen said Thursday.

Leonardo DRS has landed contracts potentially worth over $3 billion from the U.S. Navy and General Dynamics' electric boat subsidiary for integrated electric propulsion components for the Columbia-class ballistic missile submarine. NASA has announced the modification of a task order awarded to Jacobs under the Aerospace Testing and Facilities Operations and Maintenance contract. NASA said Tuesday that under the task order, Jacobs will work to upgrade the electrical system of the Ames Research Center's Unitary Plan Wind Tunnel, making its main drive motors more capable and efficient.
