Joint Venture Between DSC, TechFlow Subsidiary Receives $76M Navy Base Operations Support Contract

A joint venture between EMI Services, a TechFlow subsidiary, and Diversified Service Contracting has secured an eight-year, $76.4 million contract from Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command to provide base operations support services at Naval Base Ventura County in California. DSC-EMI II will perform infrastructure readiness support, environmental support, utilities management, regulatory compliance and other facilities management services, TechFlow said Wednesday.

A joint venture between Zolon Tech and Pioneer Corporate Services has secured a $31.9 million contract to provide information management and information technology support services to U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command. Northrop Concludes Sentinel ICBM Shroud Fly-off, Missile Modal Tests

Northrop Grumman has completed multiple tests, including shroud fly-off and missile modal tests, for the Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile as part of the program's engineering, manufacturing and development phase. The company said Tuesday it collaborated with an industry partner to conduct the shroud fly-off test of a Sentinel ICBM at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, where the missile's shroud flew off but did not strike the enclosed payload.

Lockheed Martin’s Frank St. John Discusses Digital Transformation Initiative 1LMX

Frank St. John, chief operating officer at Lockheed Martin, said the company's digital transformation initiative called 1LMX has been instrumental in ramping up production of high-demand defense systems, including High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, Javelin antitank weapons, Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Systems and PAC-3 missiles. "In 2024, we are on track to double HIMARS production, have increased Javelin’s production to 2,400 units per year and will deliver more than 10,000 GMLRS," St. John said in a statement published Thursday.

Google Launches AI Cyber Defense Initiative to Boost Digital Security

Google has launched a new initiative to provide artificial intelligence-powered digital security tools to help security professionals boost threat detection and response efforts. The AI Cyber Defense Initiative will open-source a new AI-powered tool, called Magika, that uses file type identification to help security defenders detect malware and create the Secure AI Framework to facilitate the sharing of best practices for securing AI systems, Google said Friday.

BAE to Equip Additional Air Force EA-37B Aircraft With Next-Generation EW Systems

BAE Systems will equip the last four of the Air Force's 10 EA-37B aircraft with advanced electromagnetic warfare mission systems to boost their defenses against jamming attacks.
