Google has released a paper that offers policy recommendations for governments, industry and civil society to deliver the benefits of artificial intelligence to a wide range of people. The AI Opportunity Agenda provides policymakers, civil society and companies with a blueprint for investing in AI infrastructure and advancing innovation, building an AI-ready workforce and promoting AI accessibility and adoption, Kent Walker, president of global affairs at Google and Alphabet, wrote in a blog post published Tuesday.

Karen Dahut, CEO of Google Public Sector and a three-time Wash100 awardee, said public sector customers seeking to advance digital transformation efforts want three things: moving from legacy information technology systems to the cloud, having security built in and working with technology vendors that could support them. Deloitte and Google's public sector arm have expanded their strategic alliance to launch a new portfolio of artificial intelligence-powered technologies for government and higher education.
