Progeny Systems, a division of General Dynamics' mission systems business arm, has secured a potential $82.9 million contract to design and build submarine sonar subsystems for the U.S. Navy. The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract covers engineering design, development and supporting material and travel procurements for sonar subsystems installed in the service branch's submarines.

Allison Transmission has secured a one-year, $83.3 million contract to deliver upgraded and new X1100 transmissions for Abrams main battle tanks. Deliveries will run through December and cover enhancing the armored vehicles used by the U.S. Army and foreign military sales clients in Asia Pacific and Eastern Europe, the company said Thursday.

SAIC has been selected for a $63 million U.S. Navy contract focused on hypersonics and strategic mission support. Contract services will be provided to the Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs and Naval Surface Warfare Center’s Crane, Indiana Strategic Hardware Division, SAIC announced from its Reston, Virginia headquarters Thursday.

Gecko Robotics, a developer of software and robotic technologies that work to build and maintain physical assets, announced raising $100 million from the extension of its Series C funding round in addition to the $73 million it had already received. Gecko Robotics said Tuesday that part of the Series C extension involves the expansion of its corporate board with the addition of U.S. Innovative Technology Managing Director Gaetano Crupi and Founders Fund Partner Trae Stephens.

An RTX business has received a $53.4 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to further provide support for the dual band radar systems installed aboard Gerald R. Ford and Zumwalt-class ships.
