Rancher Government Solutions has unveiled a new platform designed to help U.S. government and military agencies accelerate and streamline the secure transfer of applications, artifacts and other assets across the airgap to classified environments. Rancher Government Hauler works to improve the airgapping process by treating container images, files and other assets as content and collections, enabling operators to easily store, fetch, package and distribute the assets through the command line or with declarative configuration files, RGS said Tuesday.

Northrop Grumman has completed multiple tests, including shroud fly-off and missile modal tests, for the Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile as part of the program's engineering, manufacturing and development phase. The company said Tuesday it collaborated with an industry partner to conduct the shroud fly-off test of a Sentinel ICBM at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, where the missile's shroud flew off but did not strike the enclosed payload.

Government agencies can enjoy expanded broadband communication coverage with the help of Low Earth Orbit satellite services like the one offered by Hughes, according to Rick Lober vice president and general manager of the government, defense and intelligence systems division at Hughes Network Systems. In an article Hughes released Wednesday, Lober underscored that LEO satellites can provide coverage to remote areas that cannot be reached by other forms of communication while still offering low-latency internet connection in support of a variety of applications like videoconferencing or VPN access.

David Krumm, a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant general with over three decades of executive leadership experience, has joined the board of directors of robotics and autonomous company Auterion Government Solutions. AGS President Errol Farr said Tuesday, “Krumm's decades of military service in the U.S. Air Force brings an extensive level of expertise and experience to our board that will be invaluable as we execute our growth strategy.”

Frank St. John, chief operating officer at Lockheed Martin, said the company's digital transformation initiative called 1LMX has been instrumental in ramping up production of high-demand defense systems, including High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, Javelin antitank weapons, Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Systems and PAC-3 missiles. "In 2024, we are on track to double HIMARS production, have increased Javelin’s production to 2,400 units per year and will deliver more than 10,000 GMLRS," St. John said in a statement published Thursday.

Sidus Space has integrated NASA Stennis Space Center's Autonomous Satellite Technology for Resilient Applications engineering unit into its LizzieSat FlatSat small satellite vehicle in preparation for its upcoming launch. The company said Thursday the integration was completed at its facility in Cape Canaveral, Florida, and involved multiple integration and communications tests to verify the ability to load the ASTRA flight software into the engineering unit.
