Intel’s foundry business will further advance the development and testing of chip tape-outs and prototypes under the third phase of the Department of Defense’s Rapid Assured Microelectronics Prototypes-Commercial program. DOD awarded the RAMP-C program’s Phase 3 through the Strategic and Spectrum Missions Advanced Resilient Trusted Systems other transaction authority agreement, also known as S2MARTS OTA, with the National Security Technology Accelerator, Intel said Monday.

United Launch Alliance looks to reuse the upper stages of its Vulcan Centaur heavy-lift launch vehicles by keeping them in orbit, where they could perform other functions apart from the original launch mission. ULA President and CEO Tory Bruno explained in an interview during the Space Symposium conference how Vulcan upper stages, loaded with additional propellant, could work to move other spacecraft in orbit or event defend them against anti-satellite weapons.

Raytheon Books $213M Navy Award for Ship Combat System Maintenance, Modernization

An RTX business has secured a $212.5 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to help develop, modernize and maintain mission systems and mission system equipment of Zumwalt-class guided missile destroyers.
