SRC, a not-for-profit research and development company, has received a seven-year, $60 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the U.S. Air Force to provide R&D services for avionics development. The Department of Defense said Wednesday the contractor will develop new and emerging concepts related to the development, integration, assessment, evaluation and demonstration of several technologies focusing on the electric warfare piece of the avionics.

Guidehouse has booked a $12 billion U.S. Air Force contract to provide systems engineering and integration services for an intercontinental ballistic missile program. Under this 18-year award, Guidehouse will service the Minuteman III – the USAF’s current land-based ICBM – and its replacement, the Sentinel, the Chicago, Illinois-based company said on Monday.

The Air Force Materiel Command has issued a request for information for the follow-on to the North American Aerospace Defense Command Cheyenne Mountain Complex – Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment and Space Support Contract II, or NISSC II. The government intends to move the contract from a single engineering sustainment model to one "that supports tailored work efforts focused on software development, security, and operations; integration; and lifecycle sustainment," according to the RFI posted Tuesday on SAM.gov.

VivSoft Technologies has received a contract from the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Cryptologic and Cyber System Division to extend its work on Platform One, or P1. The U.S. Air Force has concluded the initial operational test and evaluation of a BAE Systems-built electronic warfare system for the F-15E Strike Eagle and F-15EX Eagle II aircraft. BAE Systems said Tuesday it supported the service branch’s operational test and evaluation center during the IOT&E effort for the Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System as part of the Northern Edge 2023 large force exercise.

Immersive training services provider HTX Labs has added Craig Wills, former 19th Air Force commander, to its advisory board. In a statement Thursday, Chris Verret, president and chief technology officer at HTX Labs, said, “We’re excited to officially bring Craig onto our board as we expand our immersive training capability more broadly across the Air Force and the other services.”

The U.S. Air Force has conducted a static fire test of the stage-3 solid rocket motor of the ground-based intercontinental ballistic missile system being developed by Northrop Grumman as a replacement for the Minuteman III ICBM. The test was conducted at the Arnold Engineering and Development Complex at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee and validated the design and performance of the LGM-35A Sentinel's propulsion system, the Air Force Materiel Command said Saturday.
