An all-digital electronic warfare suite developed by L3Harris Technologies for F-16 fighter jets is set to conclude its third interoperability test in December in preparation for its production in the fourth quarter of 2025. L3Harris is on track to complete the third “drop” milestone for Viper Shield, which will be installed in the Lockheed Martin-made block 70/72 F-16s for foreign military sales customers, according to Anna Gragossian, a general manager at L3Harris overseeing business development for international electronic warfare.

Northrop Grumman and L3Harris Technologies completed a critical design review of a relay ground station for missile warning and tracking, which will be used by the U.S. Space Systems Command in the Pacific. Northrop said Thursday that it is developing Relay Ground Station-Asia under a contract with the U.S. Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific, which plans to replace its missile warning system by 2025.

A team composed of L3Harris Technologies, Leidos and MAG Aerospace will compete for a U.S. Army program to develop a fleet of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft to gather operational intelligence against the country’s adversaries. L3Harris Technologies has received a five-year, $125.1 million contract from the Defense Logistics Agency to supply spares and repair parts for very small aperture terminal transmission systems the company had built. DLA awarded the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract on a sole-source basis. Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 24, 2028, the Department of Defense said Monday.
