ECS will add Microsoft Defender as an endpoint tool to the second version of its Army Endpoint Security Solution as part of capability improvements and upgrades, said Mark Maglin, ECS' vice president of Department of Defense cybersecurity. Maglin discussed in an interview his company's plan to accomplish the five-year, $430 million contract recompete it won from the U.S. Army Cyber Command in September 2022.

The Department of Defense has authorized Idemia Identity and Security North America to provide training and job opportunities in engineering, information technology and other areas to transitioning U.S. military service members. Idemia said Thursday it will serve as an authorized organization under the Skillbridge Program and help U.S. military members find placement within the company based on their experience, availability and capacity to train during their final 180 days of active-duty service.

L3Harris Technologies will modernize and sustain space surveillance systems under two Department of Defense contracts worth up to $134 million. KBR has won a $75 million recompete task order to provide the Department of Defense with research and analysis services for a variety of emerging technologies. Issued as part of the DOD Information Analysis Center Multiple Award Contract vehicle, the five-year task order covers critical technology areas of advanced materials, trusted artificial intelligence and renewable energy generation storage.
