The national security services subsidiary of Idemia conducted a demonstration of ID2Access, its end-to-end biometric access control technology, for officials of the U.S. Army and Department of Defense. The demo took place on Wednesday at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama as part of Idemia's contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide frictionless security technology for the military base, the company announced.


The Department of Defense has authorized Idemia Identity and Security North America to provide training and job opportunities in engineering, information technology and other areas to transitioning U.S. military service members. Idemia said Thursday it will serve as an authorized organization under the Skillbridge Program and help U.S. military members find placement within the company based on their experience, availability and capacity to train during their final 180 days of active-duty service.

Idemia‘s North American business has secured an award from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to extend the deployment of its Livescan fingerprint scanning technology to assist in conducting identity verification and criminal background checks.  Under the potential five-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, Idemia’s existing Livescan technology will be updated, which includes an option to use document […] More

Idemia will use one of its smartphone-based products to digitize driver's license and other state-issued identification cards of Arizona residents. The company said Thursday its Mobile ID technology is designed to enable users to store a digital version of these IDs in a smartphone application.
