Microsoft and OpenAI are planning to launch an artificial intelligence supercomputer called Stargate by 2028 as part of a potential $100 billion data center project. According to a report by The Information cited by Reuters, the two technology companies will carry out the data center project in five phases with Stargate as the last phase.

Iron Bow Technologies and Peraton will collaborate to deliver advanced information technology and network services to the U.S. Special Operations Command under the latter company's previously awarded eight-year, $2.8 billion task order. Under the Special Operations Forces IT Enterprise Contract 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance task order, which Peraton received in November 2023, Iron Bow said Tuesday it will contribute to IT modernization initiatives, provide technology evaluation and innovation and support daily mission requirements.

The Aerospace Corporation moved its corporate headquarters to the Washington, D.C., area effective March 21. The location in Chantilly, Virginia, is closer to key customers and stakeholders, Aerospace said Thursday. There is also a plan to invest $100 million in its former HQ at the El Segundo campus in California.

Aeyon has entered into an agreement with Vertosoft to distribute and supply the latter's technologies intended to enhance public sector operations. Under the partnership, Aeyon said Tuesday it will craft services tailored for distinct client requirements as well as broaden its reach to a wider array of customers through various contract vehicles.

Apple is reportedly in discussion with Google to license and build the latter's Gemini engine, a set of generative artificial intelligence models, into new iPhone software features. The negotiations come as Apple prepares new generative AI capabilities for the next version of the iPhone operating system, iOS 18, including functions for writing essays and creating images based on simple prompts.

DCS has relocated its corporate office from Lexington Park, Maryland, to a new location in California, Maryland. The company said Thursday that the move sought to promote efficiency and improve support for customers at Naval Air Station Patuxent River.

Incubation firm Red Cell Partners is providing cybersecurity technology developer Eyris $3 million in pre-seed funding meant to allow the company to start a Department of Defense pilot program and offer services to other federal agencies. Eyris offers blockchain-based security and ransomware mitigation products that are cloud- and encryption-agnostic and work to integrate with various existing applications, Red Cell said Wednesday.

Ashley Meade, formerly senior director of operations at Amentum, has been named vice president of operations and program manager of the Africa Peacekeeping Program. She was director of operations and AFRICAP program manager at PAE, now part of Amentum, for nearly three years and was a senior pricing policy analyst at Lockheed Martin before joining PAE.

Cloudera has been designated as “In Process” by the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program. This status recognizes the security of the hybrid data platform, and once it is fully authorized, Cloudera will be available to additional government organizations, the Santa Clara, California-based company said on Wednesday.
