Iron Bow Technologies and Peraton will collaborate to deliver advanced information technology and network services to the U.S. Special Operations Command under the latter company's previously awarded eight-year, $2.8 billion task order. Under the Special Operations Forces IT Enterprise Contract 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance task order, which Peraton received in November 2023, Iron Bow said Tuesday it will contribute to IT modernization initiatives, provide technology evaluation and innovation and support daily mission requirements.

Apple is reportedly in discussion with Google to license and build the latter's Gemini engine, a set of generative artificial intelligence models, into new iPhone software features. The negotiations come as Apple prepares new generative AI capabilities for the next version of the iPhone operating system, iOS 18, including functions for writing essays and creating images based on simple prompts.

Incubation firm Red Cell Partners is providing cybersecurity technology developer Eyris $3 million in pre-seed funding meant to allow the company to start a Department of Defense pilot program and offer services to other federal agencies. Eyris offers blockchain-based security and ransomware mitigation products that are cloud- and encryption-agnostic and work to integrate with various existing applications, Red Cell said Wednesday.

Cloudera has been designated as “In Process” by the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program. This status recognizes the security of the hybrid data platform, and once it is fully authorized, Cloudera will be available to additional government organizations, the Santa Clara, California-based company said on Wednesday.
