Carahsoft will serve as a public sector distributor for software provider Fortra under a recently-announced partnership between the two companies. Carahsoft said Thursday that its GSA Schedule, NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V, Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – Software 2 and OMNIA Partners contracts will be the avenues by which Fortra's products will be made available to public sector customers.

The Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration plans to launch a competition for a follow-on contract to continue to provide network and telecommunications equipment, licensing and maintenance services in support of existing and emerging requirements. TSA expects to issue a solicitation by June 14 and award the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity recompete contract by the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024, according to a notice published Thursday on the Acquisition Planning Forecast System.

A unit of Kongsberg’s defense and aerospace business has received a contract from Los Alamos National Laboratory to build another satellite for LANL’s Experiment for Space Radiation Analysis mission. Kongsberg NanoAvionics said Wednesday it will make some mechanical arrangements to configure one of its 12U satellite buses to enable the spacecraft to host payloads for the ESRA mission.

An RTX subsidiary is set to collaborate with industry partners for the development of a new technology that could enhance sensor capabilities across ground, maritime and airborne domains under a $20 million National Security Technology Accelerator contract. RTX said Thursday Raytheon will package commercial devices from partners like AMD to assemble a next-generation multi-chip package capable of transforming radio frequency energy into digital information with more bandwidth and higher data rates.
