Teledyne FLIR Defense Secures $249M Marine Corps Contract for OPF-L Loitering Munition Drone Platforms

A Teledyne Technologies business will deliver recoverable and reusable loitering munition drone platforms to the U.S. Marine Corps under a potential $249 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. The company said Monday Teledyne FLIR Defense will support USMC's Organic Precision Fires-Light program, under which the contractor will provide the first 127 loitering munition systems for test and evaluation.

Marine Corps Demos Leidos-Designed LPV Prototypes at Project Convergence Capstone 4

The U.S. Marine Corps demonstrated two uncrewed low-profile vessel prototypes, designed by Leidos, during Project Convergence Capstone 4, a joint and multinational military exercise hosted by the U.S. Army. Leidos said Friday the LPV prototypes were delivered to the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory in 2023 for testing and technical assessment and their participation in the exercise marks the next stage of experimentation for the autonomous-capable vessels.

Deloitte: AI-Driven Productivity, Radical Improvement in Customer Experience Among Government Trends to Watch in 2024

A new report by Deloitte’s Center for Government Insights has identified eight trends that could enable a tenfold improvement in government outcomes and one is that advances in artificial intelligence, including generative AI, could result in increased productivity in the public sector. Parry Labs to Deliver Edge Computing Hardware to General Atomics for MQ-9A Aircraft Modernization

Parry Labs will provide an Intel server-class edge computing hardware to General Atomic for use in the modernization of the U.S. Air Force's MQ-9A aircraft, a remotely piloted aircraft built by GA's aeronautical systems business. The delivery of Edge Compute Hyper and Edge Compute Autonomy systems to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. will be made under a potential $13 million subcontract award, Parry Labs said Thursday.

Red Hat Secures FedRAMP Ready Status for Cloud-Native Application Platform

Red Hat's fully managed application platform has achieved the Ready status under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program. The designation issued by the FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board makes the company’s Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS or ROSA available on the FedRAMP Marketplace as an offering seeking to obtain a provisional authorization to operate from JAB, according to a blog post published Friday on the company's website.
