Raytheon, a subsidiary of RTX, has concluded the thermal vacuum testing of the final Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite instrument that will be used on the Joint Polar Satellite System of NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The Office of Naval Research solicited bids for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract under a long range broad agency announcement and will obligate funds in the Navy's fiscal 2023 research, development, test and evaluation budget, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
