Computer hardware company Equus Compute Solutions has partnered with software company StratusCore, which does business as RAVEL, to deliver a workflow technology for generative artificial intelligence and generative design. Equus said Wednesday the tech features a virtualized user environment hosted on the Nvidia-powered Supermicro Liquid Cooled AI Workstation and managed by RAVEL Orchestrate.

Google has released a paper that offers policy recommendations for governments, industry and civil society to deliver the benefits of artificial intelligence to a wide range of people. The AI Opportunity Agenda provides policymakers, civil society and companies with a blueprint for investing in AI infrastructure and advancing innovation, building an AI-ready workforce and promoting AI accessibility and adoption, Kent Walker, president of global affairs at Google and Alphabet, wrote in a blog post published Tuesday.

The Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration and Los Alamos National Laboratory have selected SambaNova Systems to provide its data analytics and artificial intelligence software suite to expand LANL's large language models and general AI technologies. Under the multi-year partnership, LANL will deploy SambaNova DataScale and SambaNova Suite to advance AI workloads supporting national security, science, technology and engineering projects across the laboratory, the company said Tuesday.

Databricks has closed its Series I funding after receiving new investments from AT&T and other strategic partners, placing the company at a $43 billion post-money valuation. The funding will go towards accelerating the development of artificial intelligence technologies, generative AI research and hiring new talent with data science and engineering expertise, the San Francisco, California-based company said Friday.

Accenture is opening generative artificial intelligence studios in Chicago, Houston, New York, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Toronto in Canada. The studios are being set up at Accenture's innovation hubs as part of its $3 billion investment in AI and data, the company said Thursday.
