Software manufacturer Permuta Technologies has released the software-as-a-service version of its DefenseReady human resources management solution on Microsoft's Azure cloud service for federal agencies, including the Department of Defense. DefenseReady Cloud is an artificial intelligence and machine learning-powered platform authorized to operate in a DOD Impact Level 5 environment, Permuta said Thursday.

Noelle Russell, an artificial intelligence executive with more than two decades of industry experience, has been named data and AI market lead at Accenture's federal services business arm. Microsoft plans to launch new artificial intelligence capabilities across its cloud environments in the next few months to help government clients meet their requirements and support mission-critical workloads. Candice Ling, vice president of strategic missions and technologies at Microsoft Federal, wrote in a blog post published Tuesday that the company intends to introduce its Azure OpenAI Service in Azure Government during the first quarter of 2024.
