Navy Research, Development, Test & Evaluation Operational Energy has selected the planning software offered by Arlington, Virginia-based Decision Lens to improve the collection of requirements, prioritization and the allocation of resources. Decision Lens said Friday that its planning software, which is already being used by various other U.S. Navy customers, will help RDT&E OE with resource prioritization by making decision-making more agile and data-driven.

Decision Lens will help the Office of the Secretary of Defense streamline its processes by modernizing the current manual approach to taking in and prioritizing more than 350 department projects. The company said Wednesday its software will be used by the Department of Defense's OSD Office of Innovation & Modernization for enabling automated project submission capability and facilitating submission and prioritization processes.

Carahsoft Technology has added 65 new vendors to its contract with the U.S. Army for computer software and associated hardware deliveries. The company said Tuesday it now has 128 providers under the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – Software 2 contract. ITES-SW2 supports the Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions or CHESS program, which aims to help the federal government augment its enterprise infrastructure.
