L3Harris Technologies subsidiary Aerojet Rocketdyne has secured a contract to manufacture launch and flight motors for FIM-92 Stinger missiles to help RTX business Raytheon replenish the U.S. Army’s inventory of the anti-aircraft missiles. The replenishment contract awarded to Aerojet marks the first time in nearly two decades the company will manufacture new missiles for the U.S. military, L3Harris said Thursday.

The Department of State has approved North Macedonia’s request to procure Joint Light Tactical Vehicles and associated program and logistics support services from the U.S. government under a potential foreign military sales agreement worth $111 million. Oshkosh Defense, AM General, Leonardo DRS and L3Harris Technologies will serve as principal contractors in the proposed FMS deal, which includes the procurement of 18 additional M1278A1/A2 JLTV heavy gun carriers and seven JLTV general purpose vehicles, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Friday.

General Atomics’ aeronautical systems business used an MQ-20 Avenger unmanned aircraft to demonstrate its open standards-based autonomy architecture for unmanned combat air vehicles and a U.S. government-owned communications capability, dubbed Waveform X, during a flight test in November. The live test flight held at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc.’s flight operations facility in El Mirage, California, used three L3Harris Technologies-built software-defined radios to support command and control, line of sight and data movement capabilities through the nonproprietary Waveform X platform, the company said Tuesday.

Evercore, a New York-based global independent investment banking advisory firm, has released a monthly update highlighting previous and ongoing transactions it has supported in the aerospace, defense and government services markets. According to the report, a copy of which was received by Executive Mosaic, Evercore advised several aerospace and defense clients on mergers and acquisitions, including Aerojet Rocketdyne on its $4.7 billion sale to L3Harris Technologies.

L3Harris Technologies company Aerojet Rocketdyne has signed a 10-year public-private partnership agreement with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division to increase solid rocket motor production for national defense applications. "Working in coordination with our government partners, we’re increasing our production capability to meet today’s growing demand and to prepare for any surge in support of near peer conflicts," Ross Niebergall, president of Aerojet Rocketdyne, said in a statement published Monday.
