Red Hat has presented Science Applications International Corp. with the 2016 Public Sector System Integrator Partner of the Year for SAIC’s efforts to integrate open-source Red Hat technologies for government clients.
SAIC said Tuesday that Red Hat’s open-source offerings support enterprise information technology platforms designed to help federal agency customers address business and infrastructure challenges.
“Our relationship with Red Hat is an important part of our information technology innovation strategy,” said Charles Onstott, chief technology officer of SAIC.
Onstott added the partnership aims to help clients manage cloud, data center, enterprise and mission systems.
SAIC was one of 19 companies that received honors at the 2016 Red Hat North America Partner Awards ceremony held in Las Vegas.
