The Informatics Applications Group has received a contract to help the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences consolidate operational information technology systems, environments and applications into a single IT platform.
The company said Tuesday it will migrate IT equipment and users at several USU Research Centers into the university’s accredited .edu domain and evaluate the remaining 18 centers for the migration initiative.
Tiag will serve as the prime contractor for the project and collaborate with The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine to carry out work.
Arthur Doutt, executive director for tiag’s military health business, said the company aims to help USUHS advance the missions of its centers of excellence and institutes that support military medicine and global health programs.
Doutt added the company has supported the university over the past eight years.
USUHS seeks to better monitor information management and IT processes as well as the security posture of the university’s centers and affiliates, tiag noted.
