DoD Selects Mission Ready Services Subsidiary as ‘Defense to Response Tech’ Program Winner

The Defense Department has chosen Mission Ready Services‘ Protect The Force subsidiary as the winner of DoD’s Defense to Response Technology Program.

MRS said Thursday Protect the Force was selected out of the 11 finalists for the D2R program and demonstrated its Flex9Armor body armor technology that works to protect wearers against ballistic threats.

Protect the Force will also receive $110,000 worth of services from the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service’s product development center.

Francisco Martinez, MRS chief technology officer, said he believes Flex9Armor can aid domestic and international  first responders.

The D2R program, sponsored by DoD’s Domestic Preparedness Support Initiative, identifies three technologies every year and offers TEEX PDC services in efforts to help commercialize technologies for public safety and homeland security missions.
