Harris has added the RF-7850S wideband secure personal radio to the company’s Falcon III line of tactical radios built to offer networked voice, data and situational awareness in a single platform for warfighters.
The company said Monday RF-7850S succeeds the RF-7800S SPR team radio and is designed to deliver optimized waveform and spectrum flexibility and power.
Matt Nearpass, a product management director for global networking products at Harris, said the Falcon III family offers seven products in one platform in efforts to provide common user experience across various tactical tiers of the battlefield.
Falcon III radios work to cover warfighters’ tactical communications needs from handhelds to vehicular and airborne communications.
