Ultra Intelligence & Communications has demonstrated its suite of troposcatter systems designed to establish and maintain beyond-line-of-sight communication links to enable secure connectivity in diverse operational environments.
The Archer family of BLOS troposcatter communications systems works to allow operators to set up communication links beyond 185 kilometers using a single antenna and withstand interference and jamming attacks, Ultra I&C said Wednesday.
“Offering the Archer family of troposcatter systems to our global defense partners is a testament to our ability to invest, innovate and deliver on crucial capabilities, when our customers need it most,” said Chris Bishop, chief growth officer of Ultra I&C.
“Troposcatter bridges the gap when satellite communications aren’t accessible due to jamming, location or other factors, making it a cost-effective way to move beyond line-of-sight relays,” said Faith Rhodes, vice president of programs for Ultra I&C’s communications business.
Archer is a high-bandwidth, low-latency terminal that uses adaptive coding and modulation to process at market-leading throughput rates and features tool-less assembly and auto-alignment software for quick deployment.
