Boeing has received a $42.8M modification on a delivery order covering the production of four MH-47G helicopters to U.S. Special Operations Command.
SOCOM issued the cost-plus-fixed fee modification to meet an “urgent” aircraft sustainment requirement for heavy-assault, rotary-wing aircraft units, the Defense Department said Thursday.
DoD noted the U.S. Army’s fiscal 2018 procurement and aircraft procurement funds are being used to finance the order.
The command awarded the original order, worth $80.7M, to Boeing in June.
Majority of work will take place in Ridley Park, Pa.
