Amazon Web Services recently posted job openings for a data processing engineer and a product manager for space and satellite platforms, CNBC reported Wednesday.
This Just In, a website that reports on AWS endeavors, discovered the cloud services provider’s listings that were removed for unknown reasons.
The engineer would be tasked to develop and maintain satellite data processing systems, while the program manager would market services that would help customers integrate their space systems with Amazon’s data center networks.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos also owns spaceflight company Blue Origin.
AWS, which generated $6.11B in second-quarter revenue, currently provides cloud services to NASA and is among several vendors that eye the Defense Department‘s cloud procurement contract.
