Google has received a provisional authority to operate under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program for its suite of cloud computing services and underlying common infrastructure.
FedRAMP’s Joint Authorization Board issued Rev. 4 P-ATO approval to the Google Cloud Platform at the moderate impact level, Jennifer Lin, director of product management for Google’s GCP security and privacy business, wrote in a blog article published Wednesday.
The certification allows the company to offer its platform through data centers in various countries and from multiple cloud regions.
Federal agencies and contractors interested in adopting Google’s FedRAMP package can submit an electronic access request form to the General Services Administration.
Google also partnered with Dome9, Rackspace Managed Security and RedLock to complement the GCP offering.
Dome9 offers a compliance test suite to evaluate payment card data security based on industry standards, while Rackspace provides managed security services alongside Google’s cloud platform.
RedLock markets the Cloud 360 Platform designed to help customers manage and secure cloud environments.
