Maximus‘ philanthropic arm has donated $20,000 from employee contributions and corporate matching funds to the Florida Disaster Fund of Volunteer Florida Foundation in memory of the victims in the Orlando shooting.
Maximus said Thursday the Florida Disaster Fund is an official state private fund that works to support organizations that serve survivors, families and others in need of assistance and help communities respond and recover from emergency or disasters.
The donation from the Maximus Foundation comes from charitable gifts by employees that the company matches with grants.
“Our thoughts continue to be with the victims and their families… We are proud to unite together and provide support to our Florida community during this time of need,” said Maximus CEOÂ Richard Montoni.
Volunteer Florida oversees the distribution of federal, state and local funding for national service and volunteer programs across Florida.
