Intergraph Government Solutions’ software platform will be deployed across 13 U.S. Marine Corps installations worldwide after the platform received milestone C and full deployment approval under the defense acquisition system.
IGS said Thursday the deployment approval for Intergraph Computer-Aided Dispatch was based on the software tool’s live operation and testing conducted at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in North Carolina.
Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure – parent company of IGS – developed I/CAD software that works to help military bases manage emergency calls, receive incident and hazard information as well as gain access to a common map incident for situational awareness functions.
The Marine Corps awarded IGS a five-year, $23 million contract in 2014 for the software under the branch’s Consolidated Emergency Response System program.
IGS also received approval from the U.S. Navy to deploy I/CAD across the military branch’s networks as part of the CERS initiative and the Department of the Navy Application and Database Management System certification.
