Hewlett Packard has unveiled a new consulting service with the goal of helping organizations identify and address data security risks that could affect business objectives or operations.
HP’s Security Metrics Services portfolio includes a set of parameters designed to determine a company’s overall risk posture and alerts stakeholders of any security threat or incident, HP said Monday.
“Security risks are getting harder for organizations to navigate, and point-solution defenses are no match for the adversaries,” said Arthur Wong, senior vice president and general manager at HP’s enterprise security services.
Wong added the company aims to help customers implement proactive measures to managing information technology risks.
The offering is meant to use HP’s Executive Scorecard application that works by displaying business goals and security warnings in a dashboard.
HP designed the software app to comply with incident reporting standards as well as create links among security management functions.
