BAE Systems and doppler radar manufacturer Weibel have formed a team that will pursue a contract to update equipment at a weapons testing site in Woomera, Australia, United Press International reported Tuesday.
UPI reports the companies also plan to jointly compete for technology replacement work at Woomera Test Range.
The complex is used by the Australian military to test air-based platforms and weapon systems, according to the report.
Kim Scott, BAE director of land and integrated systems, said the company seeks to offer the facility its systems for managing range control and security, according to UPI.
Weibel will offer air surveillance and multiple object tracking devices through the alliance, UPI states.
