General Dynamics has received a $9.4 million contract modification to extend development work on the U.S. Navy’s Virginia payload module. The company will produce four large-diameter payload tubes for installation in Virginia-class submarines, General Dynamics said Thursday. The contract was initially awarded in 2010 and this modification brings its cumulative value to $1.1 billion. More
