Parsons has secured a three-year, $28 million contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory to provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance command and control and space software baselines for the Global Application Research, Development, Engineering and Maintenance toolset. Robert Lightfoot, president of Lockheed Martin Space, said the company is looking to partner with more space businesses that are working on small satellites and intelligence, surveillance and communications payloads to meet the increasing demand within the government market for resilient space-based capabilities. “We’re looking for strategic partners," Lightfoot, a three-time Wash100 awardee, told the publication at a conference on Tuesday. The Department of Defense’s artificial intelligence office has put out a call for three new opportunities for industry collaboration. The requests for proposals were posted to Tradewinds earlier this month and all center upon responsible AI usage, said Dr. Matthew Johnson, senior technical advisor at the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office.
