Saab has received a $29.6 million contract with the Swedish Defense Material Administration to supply spare parts for the Gripen E aircraft.
Saab said it inked an initial agreement with FMV in February 2013 and the new order has been booked in the second quarter of fiscal year 2015.
“This is an important first step to secure the equipment supply for the Swedish air force and Gripen E,†said Ulf Nilsson, head of Saab’s business area aeronautics.
The company said it plans to deliver the components and devices alongside the first of the aircraft deliveries.
