Raytheon has partnered with Kongsberg Gruppen to develop anti-surface warfare systems to customers worldwide.
The companies will build the joint strike missile for air-launched anti-surface warfare applications, Raytheon said Tuesday.
Taylor Lawrence, Raytheon missile systems president, said the companies aim to provide new technologies in the anti-surface warfare arena for the U.S. and its allies.
Norway’s air force is funding the development of the Joint Strike Missile.
“OASuW is a market where we can effectively team to deliver products that address the key requirements of the warfighter,†added Harald Annestad, Kongsberg Defence Systems president.
Kongsberg Defence Systems supplies defense and aerospace-related systems to Norway.
