Red Hat is urging enterprises to adopt virtualization for their IT infrastructures and data centers to foster operational and cost efficiencies.
In an infographic posted Monday on the Red Hat website, the company illustrates the path to innovation, from modernizing the data center, to standardizing operations and to virtualizing IT resources, in order to realize positive business impact.
Based on recent IDC forecasts for the period between 2013 and 2017, Red Hat said virtualization platforms are gradually replacing legacy enterprise operating systems due to the former’s lower total cost of ownership, including server management and administration costs.
The company added that virtualization also enables systems management capabilities that facilitate a shorter wait to generate returns on investment.
Its Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Satellite products have been in market to address companies’ virtualization needs.
