DigitalGlobe has partnered with Cloudera to develop a new geospatial analytics technology intended to help customers fulfill security and governance requirements.
Bob Gourley, former chief technology officer of the Defense Intelligence Agency, said DigitalGlobe intends to build the geospatial big data analytic tool around Cloudera’s Enterprise Data Hub, DigitalGlobe said Friday.
The analytics system will work to collect data from DigitalGlobe’s imagery and combine the information with geospatial data from multiple sources.
Clients will be able to access fresh data through a Storm-based streaming ingest and perform queries using Cloudera’s Enterprise Data Hub.
DigitalGlobe will offer the new service to international and U.S. government customers, commercial enterprises and non-government organizations as an in-site and premium product.
