Xerox Corp. will work to train Miami Children’s Hospital personnel on how to adopt the revised coding system for medical diagnoses and insurance billing.
MCH will switch from the ninth version of international classification of diseases to ICD-10 on Oct. 1, 2015, Xerox said Wednesday.
Charles Fred, group president of healthcare provider services at Xerox, said the company intends to help MCH through its coding conversion in order to enhance healthcare services.
Xerox will guide caregivers in documenting patient-care data with the ICD-10’s library of codes.
The company will also work to develop a transition roadmap for the healthcare provider, support its implementation processes and stabilize its operations.
