Air Force Extends Use of Telos’ Xacta Cyber Risk & Compliance Platform

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Telos a one-year, $3.7 million contract option to continue its access to the company’s cyber governance, risk and compliance platform, Xacta. The platform works to automate Air Force cyber GRC requirements across various networks like top secret and secret networks, Telos said Wednesday.

Commenting on the award, John Wood, Telos chairman and CEO, said, “We’re honored to continue serving the hardworking airmen of the Air Force intelligence community. They are up against the [Department of Defense-wide] challenge of meeting complex cybersecurity standards and requirements, and we’re pleased to ease the compliance burden through the automation and efficiency of Xacta.”

Previous Xacta Contracts

In 2023, the Joint Authorization Board of the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program included Telos’ Xacta software as a service among six cloud service providers prioritized to work on JAB security package reviews. That same year, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency awarded Telos a five-year contract for the use of Xacta to accelerate its systems authorization to operate and generating reports on enterprise standards.

Another Xacta user, the FBI, awarded Telos in February 2021 a potential five-year, $13.5 million contract for the bureau to meet GRC requirements and add the platform to GovCloud, Commercial Cloud Services and Secret Commercial Cloud Services architectures.

And in April 2022, the Xacta SaaS cybersecurity platform and Telos’ Ghost virtual obfuscation network-as-a-service were made available to government customers through Carahsoft Technology’s contract vehicles, under a distributorship agreement between the two companies.
