Nutanix’s cloud product has attained certification under a program that aims to standardize cloud cybersecurity across the federal government.
The company said Wednesday its Xi Government Cloud platform has achieved a moderate security impact level and been certified under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
The government-tailored platform features a multicloud, desktop-as-a-service component and a tool designed to help users manage cloud costs.
Nutanix engineered the platform to operate with Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services desktop platforms.
Chris Howard, vice president of U.S. federal sales at Nutanix, said the FedRAMP achievement allows the firm to help federal agencies expand teleworking capacities and oversee associated cloud resources.
