The State Department has approved a potential $62M foreign military sale of Boeing-built air launched missile systems and associated equipment to Morocco.
Morocco asked to procure 10 AGM-84L Harpoon Block II missiles, containers, spares, repair parts and test and support equipment from the U.S., the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Tuesday.
DSCA noted the major non-NATO ally will integrate the weapon on F-16 fighter jets as part of sea-lane defense initiatives.
The possible deal will include engineering, logistics and technical assistance, as well as require U.S. government and contract representatives to schedule annual trips over a five-year period to conduct FMS-related technical audit, oversight and support.
