General Dynamics’ mission systems business unit has selected PathFinder Digital to provide satellite technology terminals in support of an Air Force Space Command initiative to enable timely data delivery for mission and information purposes.
PathFinder said Thursday it will deliver a fly-away MVSAT terminal unit that uses an AvL Technologies-built antenna, Ka and Ku-band frequencies as part of the Global Broadcast Service Program.
Established in 1998, the GBS program provides a one-way, wideband transmission service that works to accommodate the delivery of video files, classified and unclassified data for theater information transfer and mission support functions through the use of commercial satellite broadcast systems.
“We are extremely pleased that GDMS selected PathFinder Digital as their MVSAT terminal provider,†said Roger McGarrahan, CEO at PathFinder.
