Alan Boeckmann, who previously served as CEO and chairman of Fluor for nine years, will serve on the engineering and construction services contractor's board of directors beginning on May 1.
The more than 36-year company veteran served as non-executive chairman of the company from 2011 through his retirement the following year, Fluor said Monday.
Boeckmann joined the Irving, Texas-based firm in 1979 and took the helm in 2002 after holding various roles of increasing responsibility. He is currently a board member at Archer Daniels Midland, BP and Sempra.
