Leidos has selected six technology companies for inclusion into its program aimed at expanding the Reston, Va.-based defense contractor’s supplier base network.
Leidos said Monday that IBM and Red Hat were added to the Leidos Alliance Partner Network as Technology Integration Partners, while Confluent, Databricks, Docker and Elastic were designated as Emerging Technology Partners.
Kevin Davis, vice president of public sector at Databricks, said the partnership will help extend the company’s Unified Analytics Platform to federal agencies.
“In 2019, we intend to host exclusive events for our partners, co-develop new technologies and develop risk reduction strategies for deployment of new technologies in the public sector,” said Bob Gemmill, VP of strategic sourcing at Leidos.
The company said it selects its new suppliers based on the quality of their products, technical roadmap awareness, training programs and opportunities for joint research and development.
