Motorola Solutions has integrated its public safety communications software with venue details from HERE Technologies as part of a joint effort to increase field responders’ situational awareness.
The CommandCentral Aware platform will include location maps that are intended to guide fire and emergency medical services personnel through buildings in the event of a critical situation, HERE said Monday.
The maps also work to identify places where public safety personnel can access fire extinguishers, defibrillators and medical kits.
CommandCentral Aware is designed to aggregate streaming videos, geospatial data and alerts in real time, as well as collects information for public safety command center staff to assist emergency responders.
