Stan Deal, president and CEO of Boeing’s global services business, has said he is working with the heads of the Chicago-based aerospace firm’s defense and commercial segments to find new growth opportunities, AINonline reported Friday.
Deal said he collaborates with CEO Dennis Muilenburg; Leanne Caret, president of Boeing’s defense, space and security segment; Greg Smith, chief financial officer; and Kevin McAllister, CEO of the company’s commercial business; to decide on “vertical integration†efforts.
An example of that effort is Boeing’s move in June to form a new joint venture with France-based Safran to develop and service auxiliary power units that work to power aircraft while on the ground.
Boeing Global Services also advances initiatives to streamline and integrate its spares distribution businesses as well as expand its footprint across digital, parts, training and engineering, and modifications areas, Deal noted.
Plano, Texas-based BGS was officially launched in June 2017 to integrate the services functions of Boeing’s government, commercial and space segments.
