The Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate will host a live Facebook Tech Talk on May 29 to initiate a discussion on a program designed to commercialize technologies that stem from government-funded projects.
DHS announced that it will present how the Transition to Practice program is accelerating the process of developing and distributing technologies from government labs and universities to the commercial market.
Nadia Carlsten, program manager for the TTP program in the DHS Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Cyber Security Division, will introduce a few of the cybersecurity products currently in the initiative that can be transitioned for adoption.
TTP has selected 40 technologies in its portfolio since it was launched in 2012.
The effort has also helped transition over a dozen cybersecurity technologies, some of which include DigitalAnts, Hyperion, Keylime, National Energy Modelling System, Policy Enforcement and Access Control for Endpoints, SerialTap and ZeroPoint.
