William Wallace, a member CACI International‘s board of directors since 2009 and a retired U.S. Army general, has received the U.S. Military Academy’s Distinguished Graduate Award.
CACI said Tuesday the award recognizes West Point graduates whose military service, stature and character reflect the academy’s “Duty, Honor, Country†motto.
Wallace graduated from West Point in 1969 and is the second board director at the company to receive the recognition from a service branch.
Before he retired from military in 2008, the four-star general served as commanding general of the Army Training and Doctrine Command, where he led the branch’s reorganization effort in continuation of military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.
He also commanded the Fifth U.S. Corps during Operation Iraqi Freedom, the National Training Center and the Army’s 4th Infantry Division.
Wallace’s military awards include the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit and Meritorious Service Medal.
